Last spring DutchX Exchange has taken over the sim "Best of Rotterdam" and now we're ready for the GRAND OPENING!!! This weekend we'll be celebrating with a weekend full of events. The "Best of Rotterdam" team will show you how diverse this great dutch city is and what she has to offer in Second Life. Below you'll find the program for the opening weekend, make sure to be there since it's going to be a weekend full of activities, events and party!!!!

Welcome aboard! We are pleased to announce that we are in our Nineth port in The Grand Voyage '08 - A Celebration around the World. We are now docked with Groningen!

Our movie order has come in! We now have: Tomb Raider II, Matrix, African Screams, AND Star Wars II Attack of the Clones! See below for times. Or our website for times and fully summary of each movie!

We have two new DJ's this week. DJ shazzray Streeter will be spinning the best music you ever heard at our pool deck on Tuesday 1-3pm. And DJ Shrike Rossini will start off our soulful Thrusday at 11am. With The Soul Man (DJ Bobby Eberhart) returning at 1pm for another of his soulful sets. You don't want to miss these two!

Our fishing contest returns Tuesday at 3pm. Get your pole ready as the fish are sure to be biting and great prizes await!

The Boiler Room Club: the hottest spot on the Galaxy

When you get tired or all the class and jazz, or even the sun deck and pool parties, it's time to head down to the Boiler Room Club for some high-energy fun! With DJ's D2D, Swinger, and the rest of the gang, they are seriously turning up the heat in the FORWARD sim. If you are looking for a party club that will keep you up all night, this is the place to be. Check out the event schedules or join the club's own group for non scheduled parties. Bring your friends and start your own club party!

Catharina Ivanova Art Exhibit

The Galaxy is pleased to present Holand artist Catharina Ivanova (Nelly van Nieuwenhuijzen)! Nelly started 35 years ago her artist-career as a passionate watercolorist. She is wellknown for her colourfull paintings in that medium. Her works are in the collections of some big compagnies like Dow Chemical, BASF, Rank Xerox etc. and in a lot of private collections all over the world.

Nelly is a artist-painter, but sometimes she likes to create other things. Helicopter Flight around the Galaxy and Sagittaria

The SS Galaxy is pleased to have Britannic Virtual Airlines flying regular trips from around the ship to the surrounding islands and back. This is a great way to see the amazing 3-sim cruise ship and the beautifully designed Sagittaria Estate. The flight time is around 40 minutes and starts on our AFT Helipads. Songs like with or without you-U2; yellow-coldplay; starlight-muse; boulevard of broken dreams-green day; knocking on heaven's door-guns and roses; addicted to love-robert palmer are now in their repertoire. Also the all time SL classics as 'schaapjes tellen', 'beds are burning', 'lieve kleine piranha', will remain. It will be A GENUINE ROCKROSE CONCERT from now on. They'll rock you, romance you, like no other band on SL can.

The SS Galaxy is pleased to announce Carmen Roeth performing LIVE in our Zoidac Ballroom! Carmen has not performed at the Galaxy for a while...this is definitly a not-to-miss event!

Carmen was born and raised in the Netherlands (she says her heart dwells in Belgium). She started singing at age 13 with her father's band. After 22 years as a professional singer she is now gracing the Second Life Community with her amazing voice. Her material includes many genres of music for your listening, dancing, and romancing pleasure. If you have not heard Carmen sing, it's time you did!
